When worlds collide...
My dad posted a blog with links to other Oxford blogs, and who should come up but an old friend of mine from Lampyland?
It's wierd. This is someone who I idoloised at University. Someone who taught me a lot, and inspired me to get involved in student politics. And now, here's my dad, singing her praises.
It makes me rethink who my dad is...
Wonder how many other people I could have introduced to him that he would have loved.
Funny how I always assume my parents would disapprove of my life, and the people who are in it, when really I'm probably underestimating them on a humungous scale!
Sorry, folks!

Well, didn't I ever tell you that story about Mark Twain? Something like this:
Mark Twain said: "When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years. "
Hey Martha!
How you doing? Liking the blog!

Student politics? And I thought it was me, waking you up at an unreasonable hour to go on an anti-fees demo in the quad, filmed by S4C and never broadcast...
Another collision. Hello from another of the Oxford bloggers.
